The Kleist Museum’s memberships
As a “cultural memorial site” of national significance, the Kleist Museum is included in the Federal Government’s “Blue Book”. The “Blue Book”, a list of nationally significant cultural institutions (“lighthouses”) in the new federal states (Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia), was published for the first time in 2001. It comprises museums of national cultural heritage as well as institutions dedicated to important German personalities, the so-called “cultural memorial sites”.
