Heinrich von Kleist’s novella “Das Bettelweib von Locarno” (The Beggar Woman of Locarno) takes up the well-known fairy-tale motif of punishment for evil deeds. In this lesson in the museum, the text by Kleist represents a basis for children to read, play and draw under supervision.
